What Cubs do

Cubs build on what Beavers started and spend more time outdoors, picking up skills they will use right through scouting.

  • Hikes and weekend camps
  • First knots, map reading and compass work
  • Campfires and cooking outdoors
  • Team games and challenges
  • Badges and awards that mark their progress

Sixes and the Pack

The Cub section is called a Pack, and Cubs work in small teams called Sixes. Each Six has a Sixer and a Seconder, older Cubs who help look after their team, which gives them an early go at leading.
