Where scouting begins. Beavers play, make, explore and get their first taste of the outdoors, with leaders close by the whole time.

What Beavers do

Meetings are active and varied, built around learning by doing. Nobody needs any experience to start.

  • Games that build teamwork and confidence
  • Crafts, stories and songs
  • Nature walks and outdoor exploring
  • Day trips and first nights away
  • Badges to earn along the way

Lodges and the Colony

The Beaver section is called a Colony. Within it, Beavers work in small groups called Lodges, so every child has a few familiar faces to team up with each week.

How to join

Get in touch

Send us a message with your child’s name and age.

We confirm a place

A leader replies with a start date, or a waiting list spot if the Colony is full.

Register

Complete Scouting Ireland registration and pick up the uniform.
