Privacy
What this website collects, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.
Who we are
This website is run by 74th Cork Frankfield Scout Group, a member group of Scouting Ireland. For anything on this page, contact us at info@74cork.com.
What we collect
The only personal information this website collects is what you type into the contact form: your name, your email address, the subject you choose and your message. If you are asking about joining, that may include your child’s age.
Please don’t put medical details or other sensitive information in the form. If we need it later, we will ask for it through Scouting Ireland’s registration process.
Why we collect it
We use it only to reply to your enquiry and, if you ask, to arrange a place or a volunteering role. Our legal basis under GDPR is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us. We don’t use it for marketing and we never sell it.
Who sees it and how long we keep it
Messages are sent through this website, which is hosted by Carrigaline Computer Services, to the group’s email inbox, and are read only by the group’s leaders. We delete enquiries once they have been dealt with, and in any case within 12 months.
Membership information
When someone joins, their registration details are held on Scouting Ireland’s membership system, not on this website. Scouting Ireland’s own privacy notice, available at scouts.ie, explains how that information is handled.
Photos
We only publish photos of young people with a parent or guardian’s consent, and we don’t name them. If you would like a photo removed, tell us and we will take it down.
Cookies
This website uses only the cookies it needs to work. It has no advertising or tracking cookies. Links to Facebook and other websites take you to services with their own privacy policies.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Contact us at info@74cork.com. If you are unhappy with our response, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.
